ENHYPEN is fresh off the release ofOrange Bloodthe K-pop stars’ 5th mini album, and the group took a seat with Signboard‘s Tetris Kelly to discuss their rapid development in the music market and their love for their fanbase, ENGENEs.
“We had Orange Blood in mind when we dropped our last album, Dark Blood,” member Jungwon discussed. “The tunes, just like the title, brought a darker style in general, however Orange Blood has this warm ambiance to its name. It shows our desire to get closer to ENGENEs on a much deeper, more individual level.”
About the single, “Sweet Venom,” Jay opened about composing on the track. “I’m so delighted to be part of our album. I considered a few of our old tunes and how the lyrics were then, so boom. It simply took place,” he shared.
After 2 offered sold-out programs in Seoul and a Japanese dome trip, ENHYPEN finished the U.S. leg of theirFate World Touron Oct. 22, throughout which the vocalists played to over 85,000 fans, representatives state, throughout 7 programs in 6 cities: Los Angeles, Glendale, Houston, Dallas, Newark, and Chicago. Their previous mini album,Dark Bloodmade the act its greatest charting release to date, peaking at No. 4 and investing an overall of 10 cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200 in June.
