Among Hollywood’s busiest primary crossways was closed down throughout heavy traffic today by a group promoting for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Jewish activist groups opposing the dispute filled the crossway of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue on Wednesday. The place houses the Dolby Theater and remains in the heart of Hollywood’s traveler district.
The Los Angeles Cops Department stated that traffic was surrounded the presentation, with protesters being in the crossway quickly after 5 PM.
Hollywood Boulevard was closed down in between Orange Drive and Las Palmas Avenue, while Highland Avenue was closed from Franklin Place to Sunset Boulevard.
The groups IfNotNow and Jewish Voices for Peace declared duty for the demonstration, with both advising a ceasefire in Gaza. Indications checking out, “Jews state no to genocide,” and chants of “Rain or shine, Free Palestine!” belonged to the demonstration.
The protesters collected in De Longpre Park at 2:30 p.m before marching to the crossway.
No arrests had actually been made since 6:30 p.m.
“The LAPD’s goal is to make sure public security for ALL, while helping with the [1st] Change rights of those quietly showing,” the department published on X, previously called Twitter. “Equally the Department will implement the law when people take part in acts of violence.”
