This strikingHubble Space Telescopeimage reveals the largely jam-packed globular cluster referred to as NGC 2210, which is positioned in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). The LMC lies about 157,000 light-years from Earth and is a so-called satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, indicating that the 2 galaxies are gravitationally bound. Globular clusters are really steady, firmly bound clusters of thousands or perhaps countless stars. Their stability suggests that they can last a long period of time, and for that reason globular clusters are frequently studied to examine possibly older outstanding populations.
