A bus carrying university students crashes, killing 12 and injuring 33 in Egypt’s northeast, reports AP
In today’s uncertain global environment, India’s rapid rise stands out. India, currently a $4 trillion economy, has made impressive progress in the last few years due to political stability, policy predictability and a reform-oriented economic agenda that has ensured the ease of doing business. The sustained growth rate of 8%, skilled talent pool programs such as production linked incentive scheme, India Semiconductor mission and establishment of twelve smart industrial cities have opened up new opportunities. Many other reforms to boost the manufacturing sector like goods and services tax are in place. This has made it easy for businesses to establish and grow in India. I invite Algerian companies to join our Make in India and Make for World initiatives. India has achieved many accomplishments in areas such as science and technology, fintech, pharma, space, startups and renewables. We would be happy to share our experiences in these areas with our Algerian partners.

It (India) is targeting South Asian community but they are specifically targeting pro-Khalistani elements in Canada…What we have seen is, from an RCMP perspective, they use organised crime elements. It has been publically attributed and claimed by one organised crime group in particular – Bishnoi Group…We believe that the group is connected to agents of the Government of India

Investigations have revealed that Indian diplomats and consular officials based in Canada leverage their position to engage in clandestine activities such as collecting information for the Govt of India, either directly or through their agents and other individuals who acted voluntarily or through coercion. Evidence also shows that a wide variety of entities in Canada have been used by agents of the Government of India to collect information. Some of these individuals & businesses were coerced & threatened into working with the Govt of India. The information collected by the Govt of India is then used to target the members of South Asian community. This evidence was presented directly to the Government of India officials urging their cooperation in stemming the violence and requesting our law-enforcement agencies work together to address this issue.

Shinde in his tweet wrote, “The untimely death of Atul Parchure, the ever-introverting classic actor, is painful. Atul Parchure started his brilliant acting career right from children’s theatre. He left his mark in all three fields of drama, film and serial. He has played great characters in Marathi and Hindi films as well. Due to his departure, Marathi has lost a classic actor. Level of trust of the Canadian Govt and the Indian Govt has fallen very low, says Former Indian Ambassador to Bhutan, Pakistan and China, Gautam Bambawale
Pune, Maharashtra: Former Indian Ambassador to Bhutan, Pakistan and China, Gautam Bambawale says, “Canadian Government has today said that the Indian High Commissioner who is the representative of the Government of India to Canada is a person of interest in this Nijjar issue. So, that I think is a very serious allegation and it shows that the level of trust of the Canadian Govt and the Indian Govt has fallen very low. India’s Govt has decided to withdraw from Canada…The fact that we cannot trust their safety, security in Canada to the Canadian govt anymore and that is why we are withdrawing. I think that is the right decision because this matter has gone on too long and I am afraid that the current Govt of Canada is pushing the relationship to new lows to levels which we have never seen so low before.”

Indian govt responds to Canada’s allegations, claims political motivation
The Indian government has attributed Canada’s allegations to the political agenda of the Trudeau administration, which it claims is focused on vote bank politics. In a strong rebuttal, India categorically rejected Canada’s “preposterous imputations” suggesting that the Indian High Commissioner and diplomats are considered ‘persons of interest’ in an investigation.
“Prime Minister Trudeau’s hostility to India has long been in evidence. In 2018, his visit to India, which was aimed at currying favour with a vote bank, rebounded to his discomfort. His Cabinet has included individuals who have openly associated with an extremist and separatist agenda regarding India. His naked interference in Indian internal politics in December 2020 showed how far he was willing to go in this regard. That his Government was dependent on a political party, whose leader openly espouses a separatist ideology vis-à-vis India, only aggravated matters. Under criticism for turning a blind eye to foreign interference in Canadian politics, his Government has deliberately brought in India in an attempt to mitigate the damage. This latest development targeting Indian diplomats is now the next step in that direction,” said the MEA in an official statement.
