Harmanpeet Singh and Co take on Australia in Perth (Hockey India)
India vs Australia Hockey Test Series Highlights, Match 3: A much-improved Indian side kept Australia at bay for large parts of the third match but eventually the hosts turned it around to win 2-1 in Perth on Wednesday. With that, Australia took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
It was a tight first half and India’s goalkeepers PR Sreejesh and Krishan Pathak made crucial saves to keep it goalless at half time. In the third quarter India took the lead against the run of play, thanks to a fine drag flick by Jugraj Singh. But Australia soon hit back with a penalty stroke in Q3 and then off a drag flick in Q4, both scored by Jeremy Hayward.
Despite the loss, Sreejesh was named the player of the match for some sensational saves.
India lost the first two matches of the series 1-5 and 2-4 respectively over the weekend. The four match of the series is on Friday.

A 15-minute blitz saw Australia score three times to turn around a 1-2 half-time deficit. (Read more from Vinayakk Mohanrangan)
