Anthony Garrett broke his own knockout record in the main event of BKFC: Los Angeles.
The thrilling bare-knuckle promotion returned to the California hub, and Garrett — who served as a short notice replacement — destroyed former UFC fighter Lavar Johnson in just 12 seconds to pick up his second promotional victory to earn the fastest knockout in BKFC heavyweight divisional history.
Check out the finish in the video below.
Garrett returned to the BKFC squared circle three months after his eye-opening debut where he broke the previous heavyweight knockout record with a 16 second drubbing of John Orr at BKFC: Kansas City in August.
“Heavyweight division, you’re on notice,” Garrett said in his post-fight interview. “Anthony Garrett is in the house. Let’s go.”
The 35-year-old Garrett seems to have found his niche after a tough run in the MMA world, winning just six of his 17 bouts, and getting stopped in the first round in eight straight mixed martial arts bouts.
Johnson, 47, lost his first bare-knuckle bout.
