The wildfire burning in the hills above Peachland is still mapped at 2.2 hectares as of Thursday morning and remains out of control.
The BC Wildfire Service said the Spring Lake Wildfire, located around 4.5 kilometres west of Peachland, is suspected to have been caused by human activity.
Air crews worked until sundown Wednesday to knock back the flames, and at least five water bombers were present.
BC Wildfire Service said the blaze was exhibiting rank 2 and rank 3 behaviour and had a moderate rate of spread.

The Okanagan’s fire danger rating is currently listed as high, though there are pockets of moderate and extreme throughout the region.
