Sponsored by Empower Women Media & the Abraham Women’s Alliance, the 2-day multi-faith event elevates women’s critical stories and solutions to advance the Abraham Accords.
DUBAI — Continuing the work of the Abraham Accords, the Dubai Forum convened 65 leaders from over a dozen countries to build public awareness about the benefits of collaboration among the Abrahamic faiths (November 15-16). The event included sponsors such as Combat Antisemitism Movement, Women Choice and Global Christian Relief. Seeking to elevate women’s voices, the media and panels expressed the importance of coexistence and mutual understanding in the workplace. This was the first-ever civil society led inter-faith event in Dubai to showcase Jewish, Muslim and Christian women influencers.
Ambassador Marcy Grossman (from Canada to the UAE) participated as a keynote speaker and shared, “The Dubai Forum represented a monumental moment for regional peace and collaboration. Bringing together a multi-faith group of visionary women in the UAE to discuss the Abraham Accords was bold, innovative, and hopeful. It underscores the essential role of women in shaping a path to peace and laying the groundwork for a brighter and more inclusive future.”
Government, academic, business, media and NGO leaders attended the event, which included an excursion to the Abrahamic Family House, Louvre and Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque. Additionally, the participants were awarded an inter-faith training certificate for the workplace.
The Abraham Women’s Alliance (AWA) is a division of Empower Women Media founded by Shirin Taber and Astrid Hajjar. The women’s leadership network provides quarterly media and educational trainings to re-ignite the Abraham Accords. One month after the October 7 attacks, AWA hosted the first event inviting students, NGO, and government leaders to counter the dangers of hate speech and religious violence in the US and the Middle East.
